Bhaskar D. Krishnamurthy

 

Bhaskar D. Krishnamurthy (www.dewworks.com) is an award winning cultural and natural history explorer, author and photojournalist. He is the author of the book: "The Fragile Forest: Inside Brazilian Amazonia" ISBN: 978-0615383248. A Fellow International with the Explorers Club (www.explorers.org) he is passionate about science, research, cultural and natural history exploration. Bhaskar regularly collaborates with international organizations documenting vanishing cultures and threatened landscapes. He has worked around the world covering more than 55 countries with wide ranging subjects from the heart of the Amazon basin to the Arctic Tundra. 

In the course of his journeys, he has experienced many life changing experiences including captured by militants, surviving a road accident and attacked by a rampaging rhino.  Bhaskar's award-winning work is regularly published in leading magazines, books and journals across the world. 

Bhaskar is an active member of the Society of American Travel Writers (www.satw.org). Earlier in 2012, he was honored with Canada's Northern Lights Award for his work on the Canadian Sub-Arctic.
