Jim Scherer has been a professional food photographer for more than 25 years. He got his first taste of food photography during a cookbook shoot with Julia Child. Jim went on to shoot two more books with the legendary chef and soon became devoted to the specialty.  The key to his success is his collaborative work style. "A big part of my job," he says, "is to listen intently, to communicate well, and to get the very best from every member of the team."

 

Jim has received awards for artistic excellence from ASMP, and four times has been featured in the Communication Arts Photography Annuals. He has been a speaker at the New York Photo Expo, the Boston University Culinary Writers Program, the James Beard House, and the Boston Culinary and Seafood Expos.
