At the age of 12, this Persian-born Californian fell in love with photography through the darkroom’s magic. A Bachelor of Science in Illustration Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University followed, and for 15 years, the commercial photography industry has been Ghazalle’s professional home. Blending warmth and a sense of place in the world she creates bold images that provoke, becalm or delight. She has photographed globally distributed product packaging campaigns for Softsoap, Amway and Lightwedge and her editorial work has appeared in cookbooks as well as The New York Times, New York Magazine, and New York Newsday, to name a few. She also manages teams of photographers for events, including the annual Kids Food Festival. Ghazalle resides in Brooklyn with her husband and their diabetic cat.
