David Lewinski grew up in the metro Detroit area.  He has attended Wayne State University and the  Hallmark Institute of Photography(Turners Falls, MA) in order to gain a better understanding of what it takes to be a photographer.  It has been his honor to assist photographers Balthazar Korab and Justin Maconochie.  In addition to regularly contributing to Hour Detroit Magazine he has photographed for the New York Times Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Detroit Home, DBusiness, Crains Detroit Business and most recently taken a position as managing photographer for www.metromodemedia.com, a website dedicated to talent and growth in southeast Michigan.    Some of his clients include the Smithsonian, Shanken Publications, the Sundance Film Festival, Michigan Municipal League,  various University of Michigan Schools including the Ross School of Business and the Taubman School of Art and Architecture, University Musical Society,  Issue Media Group and RickForMichigan.  His primary focus in photography is representing people in thier space. He has a passion for Detroit and the state of Michigan.  David's style is best summed up in his own words; "My images strive to illustrate my conscious perception of the facts, hopefully with a dash of underlying humor.â��
