Christian Sosa is an independent, freelance editorial and travel photographer as well as a filmmaker. Originally from Costa Rica, Christian is currently based in Orange County, California, from where he travels extensively, creating stock images, footage and doing what he loves the most: shooting.
With a background in computer science and electronics, his introduction to professional photography happened around the same time that digital SLR cameras were released to regular consumers. While working in the Apple department for the famous Samy’s Camera store in Los Angeles, he was able to get first hand access to the latest in technology by major manufacturers like Canon, Nikon, Haselblad and Leica. And of course get trained in the latest video and photo editing software by Apple and Adobe. He got to meet many great photographers and even got the opportunity to help them in their transition from film to professional digital cameras.
Christian Sosa works primarily as a freelance photographer, working on assignment. He has worked with international humanitarian and charitable organizations such as Share our Strength, FoxGives, and The Golden Foodie Awards. His images have been featured in publications like Vanity Fair Magazine, Riviera Magazine, Para Todos Magazine, Orange County Register and Food Enthusiast Magazine.
Christian likes to contribute travel and photographic articles to several publications and journals, relating his travel experiences and offering technical and career advice to enthusiastic beginner photographers around the world.
