In addition to a lifelong career in professional photography, Bruce has logged time at Hallmark Cards, Erickson Productions, Stone Soup Productions, Synthesis Creative, Torque, Ltd., and - currently - his own DeBoer Works Photographic Productions. He's been a business manager, marketing director, advertising account executive, writer, creative consultant, but most notably, a respected photographer. Among the clients serviced over a twenty five year career are: Audi, Harley Davidson, Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, John Deere, Shell Motor Club, Amoco, Couples Resorts Jamaica, MGM Studio 54, and Giro Sport Designs. Bruce headed a creative department at Hallmark Cards from '88-'92, then moved on to work with some of the best creative talent in theadvertising industry. Most of his professional photography career has been based in North Carolina's beautiful Piedmont area but he's also lived and worked in Boston, Kansas City, and Chicago. The award cabinet is full. Bruce's name appears on National, Regional and Best in Show Addy Awards, One Show Awards, NY Festival's Gold, Hasselblad's National Photography award, and a National Kelly Award Final. He's been published in Communication Arts, Graphis Design, Digital, Photo, Poster, and Brochure Annuals, Print Magazine Annuals, AIGA Annuals, and Ad Week. Bruce's portfolio was featured in Graphis Magazines issue #312. He was selected to work on the America 24/7 project and as a guest lecturer at the famed College of Journalism and Mass Communications at UNC Chapel Hill.
